Dr. Sigal's passion for caring for persons with special needs has been central to her career since her early research at McMaster University. Little Bird was designed from the ground up to provide accessible, comfortable care for all patients.
Our Approach
Snoezelen® Integration
Little Bird pioneered the integration of Snoezelen® multisensory environments with healthcare. These calming spaces help reduce anxiety and create a positive experience for patients who may find traditional dental settings overwhelming.
Dr. Sigal's Background
Dr. Sigal founded Oral Health, Total Health (OHTH), a federal non-profit dedicated to improving access to oral health care for persons with special needs. Her father, Dr. Michael Sigal, developed the Sinai Dental Program for Persons with Special Needs — the largest comprehensive program in Canada.
